Gas Detection Alarm
Detect LPG / smoke and sound an alarm
Overview
MQ-2 gas sensor + ESP32 trigger a buzzer when concentration crosses a threshold.
How It Works
The MQ-2 gas sensor contains a tin-dioxide (SnO2) heater whose resistance drops in the presence of combustible gases. Its analog output voltage rises with gas concentration. The ESP32 reads this via ADC, and when the value exceeds a set threshold, it activates a buzzer and warning LED.
What You Will Build
A complete, working gas detection alarm using real ESP32 hardware, sensors, and motors. You will take it home once the course is complete.
